Naro ("we", "our", or "the app") is committed to your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have as a user. It applies to Naro on iOS and, if released, Android.
What we collect
To make the app work, Naro stores:
- Account information. A display name you choose. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive only the identifier the sign-in provider gives us, plus any name or email you explicitly choose to share.
- Your goals, journal, and collection. The goals, plans, routines, and markers you create; the journal entries Naro generates for you; the Stars you've earned; and which companions, backgrounds, motions, and music tracks you've unlocked.
- Usage data. Anonymous, aggregated events (e.g. "a focus session completed") that help us understand whether the app is working correctly. These events are not linked to your identity.
- Purchase records. If you make an in-app purchase, the transaction is processed by Apple or Google, depending on where you downloaded Naro. We receive a confirmation of the purchase but do not store your payment information.
What we don't collect
- We do not collect your location.
- We do not collect your contacts or calendar.
- We do not use tracking pixels or third-party advertising SDKs.
- We do not record audio or access your camera.
How we use your information
- To sync your account data across your devices.
- To provide in-app features: goal tracking, journal generation, focus sessions, and the Star economy.
- To improve the app based on anonymous, aggregated usage patterns.
- To respond to support requests you send us.
What we don't do
- We do not sell your personal data to third parties. Ever.
- We do not share the contents of your goals or journal with anyone outside of Naro.
- We do not show third-party ads inside the app.
- We do not use your data to train AI models.
When we share information
We share information only when needed to operate Naro, comply with the law, protect users, or respond to a request from you. For example, Supabase stores account data for us, and Apple or Google process store payments. These providers are allowed to use the information only for the services they provide to us or to you.
Data storage and security
Your account data is stored using Supabase, a secure cloud database provider, hosted in the United States. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of internet transmission is 100% secure, but we take this seriously.
Data retention and deletion
You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Account → Delete account. You can also request deletion by emailing support@withnaro.net. Upon confirmed deletion, your goals, journal entries, collection, and Stars are permanently removed from our servers within 30 days, except where we need to keep limited records for legal, security, payment, or fraud-prevention reasons.
Children
Naro is intended for users 13 years of age and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have received information from a child under 13, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
Third-party services
Naro uses the following third-party services, each subject to their own privacy policies:
- Supabase — database and authentication infrastructure.
- Apple App Store / StoreKit — iOS app distribution and in-app purchase processing.
- Google Play / Google Play Billing — Android app distribution and in-app purchase processing, if Naro is released on Android.
Changes to this policy
If we make significant changes to this policy, we'll notify you through the app or by email before the changes take effect. Continued use of Naro after changes means you accept the updated policy.
